Acceptable use policy

Version 1.0 · Last updated 21 July 2026 · Items marked operator to complete are completed by the operator before public launch.

You may

  • Prepare and track your own notarial matters and those you lawfully represent.
  • Run verification checks for a declared lawful purpose connected to a genuine transaction, engagement or legal obligation.
  • Request your own civil-status documents, or another person’s only with lawful authority.
  • Verify your own name history; verify another person’s only as an authorised professional with a dossier and consent/authority reference.

You may not

  • Browse, scrape or bulk-query any verification, name-history or directory feature; these answer controlled questions only.
  • Use screening results to harass, discriminate, blackmail or publicly accuse anyone. Findings are inputs to professional review, never conclusions.
  • Submit false identities, forged documents, or another person’s data without authority.
  • Provide or solicit government credentials (including MauPass passwords) through the platform.
  • Attempt to bypass role gates, payment gates, or the authorisation gates on government, rating and signing features.
  • Upload unlawful content or malware, or probe the platform’s security without written authorisation.

Breach may lead to suspension, termination, and reporting to competent authorities where the law requires.
