Disputes and false positives
Version 1.0 · Last updated 21 July 2026 · Items marked operator to complete are completed by the operator before public launch.
The principle
Screening and matching produce possible correspondences for professional review. A name similarity is not an identification; a Gazette notice is not a registered change; absence of a record in platform-loaded datasets is not evidence of absence. If a result about you looks wrong, you can challenge it.
Sanctions / PEP screening results
- Tell the professional handling your matter, or write to operator to complete, quoting the report reference.
- Provide identifiers that distinguish you (date of birth, nationality, documents). The match-resolution record is re-examined by a person.
- The outcome (no match / possible / confirmed, with the resolution reasoning) is recorded and communicated to you. Where a list entry itself is wrong, delisting requests go to the listing authority — we will tell you which one.
Credit-file entries
Your file and its full access log are visible to you in your account. Disputing an entry marks it disputed pending the contributing institution’s substantiation; unsubstantiated entries are corrected. Withdrawal of consent stops future queries under that consent reference.
Name-history and identity-continuity results
Where records conflict or identifiers do not correspond, the outcome says so and no link is asserted. Corrections to civil-status records themselves are a matter for the Civil Status Division; the platform will re-verify on updated extracts.
Timescales
Acknowledgement within 3 working days; substantive response within 15 working days; urgent transaction-blocking cases prioritised.
