Directory listing is a separate opt-in: even after approval, you appear in the public directories only if you choose to, and you can be delisted on request at any time.
What our verification does — and does not — mean. Verification by Notary.mu confirms eligibility to access the platform, on the basis of the information and evidence you supply. It is not an appointment, a licence, a professional accreditation or an endorsement by any government or professional authority. Approved accounts are described as participating and as admitted to the platform — never as approved, certified or accredited by Notary.mu, because that is not something we have any standing to do.
What is checked before you are given workspace access
- Your full legal name, and the identity of the person who will control the account.
- Your professional capacity, and evidence of your entitlement to practise.
- Your current professional standing.
- The office address and the professional contact details you wish to be reachable on.
- The identity and authority of any of your staff you later invite onto seats.
- Your acceptance of the Professional Participation Agreement, including its confidentiality and data-protection provisions.
Nothing on this list is verified automatically. A member of staff reviews every application, and a professional role is never granted before identity verification is complete.
