Terms of use
Version 1.0 · Last updated 21 July 2026 · Items marked operator to complete are completed by the operator before public launch.
1. The service
Notary.mu provides preparation, verification, coordination and tracking tools for notarial matters. The platform is not a notary and gives no legal advice; the appointed notary is solely responsible for every instrument. The platform is operated by Atlentra Ltd, a company incorporated in Mauritius (Business Registration Number C23196770), registered office 41 Etienne Pellereau Street, Port-Louis, Mauritius under licence from AI Telemetrics Ltd (United Kingdom), which owns the platform technology; your subscription is contracted with, and invoiced by, Atlentra Ltd. See the regulatory status statement, which forms part of these terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. Sensitive features require identity verification. Professional roles are granted only after verification and, where applicable, confirmation of professional status; they may be withdrawn where that status changes.
3. Acceptable use
Use is subject to the acceptable use policy. In particular: verification tools may be used only for a declared lawful purpose; the register-style services answer controlled questions and may not be used to browse, profile or harass; you may not submit another person’s data without lawful authority.
4. Payments
Subscriptions are tiered and metered; an itemised quote is available before you subscribe. Your subscription is contracted with and invoiced by Atlentra Ltd and is payable in advance; paid features activate on payment confirmation. You undertake to disclose truthfully and promptly any change in your business, your number of users or seats, or your contract — whether the business grows or contracts — that affects the applicable charges. Charges are adjusted annually in line with inflation (the official Mauritius CPI) automatically, and may be adjusted where a third-party provider increases its costs on fourteen (14) days’ written notice. Third-party data and government or statutory charges are separate, metered and not included; official duties and statutory notarial fees are governed by law, not by these terms. Platform fees do not compel any notary to accept an engagement. Refunds: operator to complete (operator refund policy).
5. Content and documents
You retain your rights in documents you upload and grant the operator the licence necessary to store, display and transmit them to your appointed notary and the professionals involved in your matter.
6. Liability
The platform is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for the professional acts or omissions of independent notaries or other professionals, the acts of public authorities, gateway payment processing, or the accuracy of records issued by third parties. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Suspension and termination
Accounts may be suspended for breach, unlawful use or security risk. Data handling on termination follows the retention schedule.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and the courts of Mauritius have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Intellectual-property rights in the platform are owned by AI Telemetrics Ltd (United Kingdom) and licensed to Atlentra Ltd. operator to complete: confirm final governing-law and forum wording with counsel.
